The Middle Ohura Falls in full flood.
This photo was taken in January 2001 after prolonged fine weather. I walked up the river to a suitable vantage point to take this photo.
The bridge was unsafe and has now been removed.
The Upper Falls are further upstream. They are fairly low, and can be viewed by going up to the flat with the Niu poles and following the Ohura upstream past the middle falls.
